Arunodaya Institute of Legal Studies has constituted the Human Rights Cell with a view to promote and preserve human rights on the campus. The main focus of the cell is to implement human rights through effective institutional policy development, capacity building, and control of human rights violations. The cell addresses complaints and grievances of staff and students in matters pertaining to discrimination and harassment.
The NSS (National Service Scheme) unit has been very active in conducting a variety of social service camps and activities throughout the year. The NSS unit fosters social responsibility, leadership qualities, national integration, and democratic attitudes among students. Regular tasks include blood donation camps, literacy drives, environmental conservation (afforestation/cleaning), health camps, and disaster management awareness.
The Red Cross unit in the college is a student-run humanitarian organization aimed at increasing social responsibility. It helps students inculcate first aid skills. It organizes blood donation camps, health check-up camps, disaster relief support, and awareness activities regarding health and hygiene. The objective of the Red Cross is to serve as a strong support system in times of emergencies and to create awareness about community health.
Eco clubs are student-driven platforms aimed at promoting sustainable living,raising environmental awareness, and practicing conservation projects. The activities involve waste segregation, composting, tree plantation, and organizing public collection.
The SC/ST cell in a college is a mechanism designed to empower students and staff belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, ensuring equality, inclusion,and the implementation of their policies. It facilitates scholarships, provides remedial coaching, and resolves grievances regarding caste-based discrimination.
The Girls’ Grievance Cell in the college is designed to handle complaints and ensure safety, dignity, and equal opportunity for female students and staff. It addresses issues like harassment, gender discrimination, academic grievances, and offers counselling,remedial measures, and strict monitoring
A mediation cell in a college is a specialized forum where trained mediators help to resolve disputes through dialogue and mutual understanding. It helps students in resolving disputes and practices empathy and cooperation.
The Legal Aid Unit in Arunodaya Institute of Legal Studies aims to extend legal awareness and legal assistance to people who cannot afford it. It is constituted to bridge the gap between law and society. Legal aid camps for underprivileged people are conducted in the college, promoting legal literacy among them.
The Students Grievance Cell is established to address the concerns, complaints, and difficulties faced by students in a fair and timely manner. It provides a supportive platform where students can voice issues related to academics, facilities, discipline, or general welfare. The cell ensures transparent resolution of grievances, protects student rights, and promotes harmony within the campus. It aims to create a positive, student-friendly environment through effective communication and prompt action.
The Internal Quality Assessment Cell is dedicated to ensuring continuous improvement in academic excellence and institutional performance. It develops quality benchmarks, monitors teaching-learning processes, and promotes innovative practices in education and administration. The cell regularly reviews institutional progress, collects feedback from stakeholders, and implements measures for enhancement. Through strategic planning and quality initiatives, it strives to maintain high standards and foster a culture of excellence within the institution.
The Anti Ragging Cell is committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and welcoming campus environment. It strictly prohibits ragging in any form and creates awareness among students about discipline and mutual respect. The committee promptly addresses complaints, conducts counseling sessions, and ensures a ragging-free atmosphere for all students.
The Wellness & Counselling Centre focuses on the mental, emotional, and physical well-being of students. It provides counseling support, stress management sessions, wellness workshops, and guidance programs to help students cope with academic and personal challenges. The centre promotes a healthy and balanced student life.
The Internal Complaint Committee is established to provide a safe and dignified environment for all members of the institution. It addresses complaints related to harassment or misconduct with fairness, confidentiality, and sensitivity. The committee also conducts awareness programs on rights, safety, and gender equality.
